Karla
Johnson,
LMT
Karla
graduated from Ashmead
College in June of 2005. She is knowledgeable in techniques of Trigger
Point release to decrease chronic muscle pain and soft tissue release
to ease muscle tension. She believes that massage and preventative
healthcare go hand and hand. With both, a balance can be reached and a
better quality of life can be achieved. Helping people feel better is
very rewarding. She is skilled in many techniques to increase
relaxation and treat different injuries.
She too has discovered the benefits of the ancient healing Asian
Bodyworks Guasha and cupping to help bring pain relief to her clients.

Hartwell Chiropractic.
She
believes that massage is beneficial to all people whether it is for
discomfort or the prevention and maintenance for optimum health. She
believes that massage is a path to wellness. Her focus on her career
is to restore and promote balance and well being in the bodies,
minds, and souls of her clients by combining Ancient Chinese Eastern
and Western massage and healing modalities
Shelly
Castaneda, LMT
Shelly graduated
from Everest Institute in July 2010. The techniques she was
trained in were Swedish, deep tissue, myofacial release & hot
stones. Shelly continued her education to include sports therapy &
worked at the University of Portland working on the athletes while
receiving her training.
Having been a
receiver of massage for 19 years, first for
relaxation purpose, then to heal from a series of car accidents; this
has given Shelly the understanding of the therapeutic & health
benefits involved with massage therapy, therefore deciding to make
it her career.
Shelly has a deep
love for the Lord &
at the beginning of my massage sessions, she says a silent prayer
inviting God to guide my hands & bring His healing through her.
This, combined with her ability to relate to the patient whom have
been injured, gives her extra compassion and insight to know
how to help those she works with.
Shelly feels that
it is a blessing to have the
opportunity to be working at Hartwell Chiropractic with the Christian
environment. "Every person here is so genuine, compassionate &
caring"
