As a child, gymnastics was my passion; little did I know that that passion would create an injury which would lead me to my future career years later. When I was 8 years old I saw a chiropractor for the first time. It was fascinating to me how I could walk out of an appointment and instantly feel better, my ailment cured. That same chiropractor helped me through my years of gymnastics injuries, cheerleading falls, and ultimately kept me feeling my best at all times. Twelve years later, I was in college majoring in BioHealth Sciences and was a little conflicted on what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I always knew I had a passion for the medical field and had a calling to help people. On a whim, I decided to go shadow my chiropractor. After my first day, that same feeling from when I was 8 years old came rushing back; I was still amazed at the healing power just one session held for any patient. I wanted to be able to provide this instant relief to patients and to help them to live a healthy lifestyle, and so began my journey to becoming a chiropractor.
Growing up, I called Kennewick, Washington home, but Oregon stole my heart about 7 years ago when I made the decision to go to Oregon State University. Following my time at OSU, I attended the University of Western States where I obtained my Bachelors in Human Biology and my Doctor of Chiropractic. During my time at the University of Western States I completed my preceptorship at Hartwell Chiropractic. This clinic instantly felt like home, and my time here so far has allowed me to greatly expand my knowledge of chiropractic medicine and also sparked a passion for nutrition and rehab under a wonderful mentor who has practiced for 30 years.
In my free time you will usually find me outside with my horses or lab puppy, hiking or doing cross fit. I look forward to helping you heal and live a healthy, active, and pain-free lifestyle!

Miraculously, the body is designed to heal itself; and I am here to help you unlock your bodies self-healing powers with the science of acupuncture.
I grew up around animals and medicine with my father, who was a veterinarian and a huge inspiration to me. Before acupuncture, I worked as a veterinary technician for 10 years. I was a proud, card-carrying member of modern medicine and was able to witness first hand some of the amazing things that Western medicine has to offer. However, even with everyone doing their best, I've also witnessed a lot of suffering in the face of many chronic degenerative illnesses. That caused me to seek out further options to help patients recover in a natural and more complete way.
When I was in pre-medical school at Cornell, I delved into their massive libraries searching for various healing methods. Out of their millions of books, there was only 1 tiny little book about acupuncture. I devoured it in a one sitting and was completely captivated by its long tradition and unique perspective on health. At that time, I decided to pursue a career in Acupuncture. Now, over 20 years later, I have arrived at a level in which I can help a number of health problems that stem from various causes. I can address pain pretty much anywhere on pretty much anyone. I can also help with Cardiovascular care, digestion, sleep, regulating the immune system, and women's and men's health issues. I'm fascinated by how the brain works and how to correct neurological conditions. My acupuncture can also help stimulate organs to function better such as the kidneys, the liver, the pancreas, and the thyroid. I look for the underlying (and sometimes seemingly unrelated) causes, no matter the condition; which makes solving medical mysteries some of the work I am most proud of. It is very rewarding and humbling to give my patients relief and satisfaction they have not found anywhere else.
In the midst of this, I have not given up my passion for animal medicine. I have also become certified in Animal Acupuncture. I have treated large and small animals and I am able to help animals with similar conditions that I treat in people. Treating animals has made me a better healer of people, and vice-versa. Whether you have 2 or 4 legs, I strive to do the best that I can to help everyone reach their full potential for healing and for the life and the body that God gave them. It's never too late for healing to occur.
